You think you're hot? Our enthusiastic campers at Blaze Brigade: Firefighter Adventure Camp had a hot day under the blazing sun as they suited up and immersed themselves in the world of fire safety and emergency response. They learned how to handle a fire hose, practiced breaking the glass of a vehicle, and so much more. We want to send a huge thank you to Fire Captain Chedrick Greene, Deputy Fire Marshal Michael Campbell, and the Saginaw City Fire Department team for guiding our campers through the exciting and important aspects of a firefighting career! #cteworks #summercamp2024 #futurefirefighters

Last week, our apprentice bakers jumped into the world of baking at our fun-filled Culinary Delights Summer Camp! From creating cupcakes from scratch to whipping up their own delicious frosting, every moment was packed with creativity and excitement. The highlight? Our epic "Whip Off" competition where the kids had to use their muscles and sometimes teamwork to master their frosting skills! Overall they had a delicious time and took home some yummy treats for their families! #summercamp2024 #cteworks #sweetmemories

STEM Camp was a blast this week! The Saginaw County CTE Team joined forces with Hemlock High School to give students a hands-on adventure in welding, programming, drones, and more. The excitement soared as students built towers out of sticks, flew drones, and delved into 3D modeling. Delta College and Merrill Technologies, our key partners, brought guest speakers who shared their career stories and worked one-on-one with the students, making the experience even more inspiring. #cteworrks #ctestrong #summercamp2024 #stem

Experience Saginaw County Like Never Before with the SagiNOW Youth Ambassadors! The Saginaw County Youth Ambassadors, Cohort 3 - SagiNOW, capped off their school year with an unforgettable adventure, diving into the natural wonders and recreational gems of Saginaw County! The day kicked off with a fun selfie challenge at the Saginaw River Headwaters Recreation Area, where our ambassadors captured their best moments surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature. This wasn't just a walk in the park – it was an up-close and personal exploration of the great outdoors! Next, the excitement soared as they journeyed to the Saginaw Children's Zoo. Our ambassadors enjoyed the zoo, rode the charming train and carousel, and met some of the coolest animals around. The grand finale of the day was a lively pickleball lesson at the brand-new Garber Tennis Courts. Whether they were first-timers or seasoned players, everyone had a blast learning and playing this fast-paced, fun sport. Thank you to our hosts for the unforgettable day!
