An egg-citing project is coming to the Saginaw Career Complex! Business Partnerships Consultant Ann Marie Batkoski helped connect the Saginaw Career Complex Graphic Arts program with the City of Saginaw Hare Hunt committee and bunny sponsor Spence Brothers to collaborate in decorating one of the famous Easter bunny statues! The statue is one of ten bunnies that will be placed around Saginaw during the Memorial Cup for the community and its visitors to find as part of a scavenger hunt. Let's Celebrate CTE Month! Did you know the cranberry apple salad served at the Bavarian Inn properties features Michigan cranberries from Cheboygan? They also use Michigan apples and Michigan sugar! The students in the Hospitality Management and Tourism Program at the Saginaw Career Complex are spending a few days helping with the tons of products being produced for the Bavarian Inn restaurants throughout the year. Students learned about buying, processing, shipping, and cost efficiency and were even able to sample the products! Providing the students with a "farm to table" concept helped them understand where products come from and how important they are both economically and environmentally. #CTEmonth #CTEworks #CTEstrong

Hello Saginaw!! Today was nothing short of amazing as our incredible youth ambassadors from Cohort 3 dedicated their day to making a positive impact at the Saginaw YMCA and the United Way of Saginaw County. Check out the pictures to witness change in action! The students helped to write Christmas cards to the seniors in our community and positive messages to the youth who pick up food as part of Mission Nutrition at the Saginaw YMCA. Afterward, they spent their afternoon filling personal hygiene pouches with feminine products for local school districts. 'Tis the season to give back!
